Meet Our Board

The HOLD-US Foundation Board is dedicated to showing unconditional love and acknowledging the dignity within all people. To serve the underserved, not only with dentistry but hope for easing the pain and suffering of a deserving people. A means by which our recipient’s overall health will be improved and their lives are changed. Our primary focus is establishing and sustaining a working dental clinic in Nakuru Kenya. It is our goal to be completely transparent with donors, supporters, and volunteers. Working together as a team we believe the will of God can and will be achieved.

I have been practicing dentistry in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1994 and I have been coming to Kenya with the Dental Team every 18 mos. starting in 2010. The Kenyan people grabbed my heart in 2010 and the grip has only strengthened.

I am a dentist in Oakland California who has been practicing since 2005. I have been going to Nakuru with the dental teams since 2012. I believe that it is an honor to serve the people of Kenya with the gift of dentistry, blessing others as I have been blessed.

I have been a General and Cosmetic Dentist in Pleasanton, CA for 46 years. After having an interest in Dental Missions for many years I was able to make my first trip to Kenya in 2008 to do dentistry for orphaned children. I went with a lot of questions but quickly discovered that my whole career had prepared me for this. I have returned 6 more times! It has been very rewarding and a great experience especially to have shared it with my wife Sharon.

I have served on several dental team mission trips to Kenya since 2009. Each trip is different, but they are always full of love, compassion, and adventure. Although my background is in Education/Administration, God has used me in so many ways over the years- all he asks from us is a willing heart!

These experiences have touched my heart. I am passionate about providing dental services and health education and sharing God’s love.

I am a born again Christian and a Registered Dental Assistant who considers it a privilege to serve the underserved. I heard God’s call to Kenya on the first dental mission in 2008. I truly feel at home on the ground there and have returned 8 times to Nakuru. I want to pass on the same unconditional love and hope that has been shown to me.
